Through its Sustainable Forestry Program ISF serves as
an advocate for Sustainable Forest Management and raises
public awareness regarding the benefits of sustainable
management practices. ISF provides information, publications
and technical assistance to organizations, forest landowners,
and resource managers through conferences, workshops,
and onsite support. ISF fosters cooperative solutions
between landowners and resource managers, watershed associations,
and resource and planning agencies to undertake watershed
and landscape level planning around fire, watershed protection,
and conservation planning.
ISF's collaboration with Baldwin, Blomstrom, Wilkinson & Associates (BBW) enables the Sustainable Forestry
Program to provide a high level of experience, expertise
and commitment to landowners in the Pacific Northwest
at three scales:
- At the landscape scale, ISF/BBW provide forest management
planning expertise.
- At the subbasin and large individual landowner level,
ISF/BBW provide management and project planning advice
tailored to the specific requirements of private, state
and other interested parties implementing sustainable
forest management.
- At the smaller landowner and discrete project level,
ISF/BBW provides detailed project and parcel specific management/project
plans, prescriptions and implementation including all
necessary regulatory requirements.
